The Search for the Best Breakfast in Great Falls: Tracy’s revisited

Tracy’s is back! Yay!

That’s right, after being mysteriously closed for a year or so, the longtime GF institution at the corner of Central Ave. and just-a-block-from-the-Civic-Center reopened in mid-2019 under new management. Finally stopped by in Sept. Does not seem like it has as many historic pictures on the walls, and all the cool old table-top jukeboxes are gone, but on the positive side the furniture is new and the breakfast items seems like a definite step up from old Tracy’s.

Tracy’s omelet

Location: Central Ave. and 2nd St.

Prices: Very reasonable
Value: Yes, for an appropriate mass quantity
Presentation: A+, with items laid out just so on restaurant platter plus that original trademark of quality, the small single slice of orange on the side
Taste: The omelet was excellent. IIRC spinach, cheese, and mushroom. Maybe some tomato. But it was the hash browns that were the highlight: Cooked just perfect, not too crisp and not too soggy, and very tasty
Service: Very attentive, and very friendly
Verdict: Definitely coming back
