Tasty omelette, 5th Street Diner
This diner at the corner of 5th Street and Central occupies the space that used to be the lunch counter at the old Woolworth’s store that was there when we were kids running around the store and looking at the pet section and smelling all the delicious smells. The decor of the diner harks back to even before I was a kid with lots of 50’s signage and so on.
“But how about the breakfasts?, you ask.
They’re good. with omelettes loaded to the gills with hearty meat products, and, according to my partner, the best toast EVER! The help is friendly and courteous, and the service good. Not real busy on a Thursday mid-morning.
Well worth return trips.
